Yesterday, I talked about how the SM side of play can be anything from sexual to spiritual for me, but today I want to talk about bondage, and how that feels for me.
For me, there is nothing sexual about bondage. It is something very, very different. But only if it is tight, stressful bondage. It’s not that I dont enjoy the “easy” or more comfortable bondage, like this tie from my shoot with harper from convolvulus
That tie was great fun and allowed me a lot of room to move around and “play” within the ropes. But the sorts of ties I love are the ones which give me a serious physical challenge
Magick has always been good at knowing the sort of bondage I thrive on.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, who knows) I’ve always been a bit on the large and unfit side, which means that ties which shouldn’t be as stressful as they are, are a big challenge to me, and I can’t do the more stressful ties that i want to do.
But as i am gradually loosing weight and toning up and getting more flexible, hopefully i should be able to handle much more challenging bondage.
In fact, on my last shoot for Shadowslaves, we did a hugely intense suspension, which is something that Magick and I have attempted a couple of times before, but was never fully successful. I’m not going to go into too much detail here about the exact tie, but i went up two times, and was very, very deeply spaced out the whole time, including aparantly just standing there for about 10 mins before I went up for the second time. It had been a very long time since i’d done any bondage that stressful, but OMG, it felt so totally amazing. Even though I was in front of a reasonably large crew, which consisted of my friends, I wasn’t aware of anything else. It was just my body and the ropes. And when I came down and the ropes came off, i sobbed for ages. Feeling suddenly exposed and vulnerable back in the real world.

Nim, have you considered doing a Device Bondage type of restraint? I’d really like to see you in this kind of shoot.
I would love to try bondage like that, unfortunately very few people actually have that sort of kit available, simply due to the cost and storage space issues. But don’t worry dma, if i get offered the chance to do something like that – I’ll definately take it!!
